Module for turn signals, lights, etc

Has anyone had problems where their turn signals, hazards, high beams not operating while the headlights stay on?

This is a 1998 740i and I was told it was some type of module. I would like to find out the exact part number so I can get pricing.

I have a leak - I assume it's a moon roof leak - which may have caused the fault.

Yes, I had similar problems with my E39. Indicators would not work correctly, etc. It needed a new LCM - make sure you pick the right one because it depends on whether you have Xenons or not.

An LCM will need coding to your vehicle, so you will probably still need to go to a dealer workshop to get that done. (At least this was the case on the E39 same model year so I don't see why it would be different for the E38).
