Cluster pixaliation, what are my choices
this thing is driving me nuts. any solution? do bmw cover this since it's a faulty design?

I seriously doubt BMW will give you a dime towards the pixel problem. I see an advertisement banner on the forum from VDO gauges. $199. or something to fix the pixels if you ship the cluster to them. Dont know how many here have used the service. Its on my to-do list for sure. Also E38.Org shows a how to on how to remove the cluster and clean it. Seems like some folks have had good results with that.

In the past, BMWNA has helped cover the cost of a cluster replacement. I had mine replaced for labor only (roughly 1 hour of labor) & free parts.
In e38.org there is info on who to contact at BMWNA to start the process. I understand it depends kinda on how long you've owned your BMW, any previous BMWs owned & other factors.

I just did the clean on E38.org (found tape over the ABS, DSC & airbag warning lights gggggrrrrrrrr). I'll let you know how it goes when I get it back in the dash
