Windows roll down by themselves!!
Hey Guys,
I recently joined the forums due to a problem that is driving me absolutely crazy. I park my car in the garage at night, go to bed, and when I wake up in the morning, all my windows are rolled down! It has been an ongoing problem that is not consistent. It may do it three nights in a row, then stop for a few days before happening again. I took the car to the dealership and they tried reseting the windows by lowering the windows/ raising them + holding the switch for 10 seconds, this did not work.....They ran a scan of the computer and everything came back fine. They tried reseting the computer system and sent me home. The problem seemed to go away for a couple weeks, but now its back! I left both my keys at my gf's house to see if maybe one of them was sending a bad signal to the car causing the windows to come down, but it still happened. It has been raining like crazy here and I am afraid to drive my car anywhere, does anyone know a solution? |

How do you carry/sotre your key?
You know that pressing an holding one of the buttons on the key rolls down the windows?

That's a good one!! You sad you left your keys at your g/f house so I'm gonna assume that means they were far enough away that the car could not recieve any signals from the keys. Honestly, it all checks out good, the only real option is to replace the gm (general module). This module controls the central locking, windows, etc. It is located underneath / behind the glovebox. You will have to have it coded by the dealer. Good luck, I would like to know the outcome of this.
