Earlier thread/Jerk at 0-10 mph

I am restarting this thread because I am unhappy with the way my 5 performs at low speeds. When I first picked up the car, I felt I had made a huge mistake. It was impossible to take out from a stop smoothly. Either the car hesitated, almost like the transmission didn't know what to do, or there was a hard jerk between 1st & 2nd gears. I now have 2500 miles on the car and the jerk has improved somewhat, but not to my satisfaction. The car seems very jumpy both accelerating & braking a low speeds. This is annoying in Atlanta stop & go traffic. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
