You park like a douche ...

I had someone park next to me like this at Trader Joe's just last week.


I'm a thin guy and there's no way I could get the door open enough to squeeze in. I had to get in on the passenger side and climb over into the driver's seat. The only good thing was that I knew no one in their car could get out on that side either so they couldn't have dinged my car. I'd much rather have to climb into the car than get a ding.

I'm going to print out some of these now and keeping them in my car - just in case.

If you guys think it's whacky to park like that, look at this wackiness, yet oddly acceptable in their neighborhood. To my surprise, Boston, too.

Parking in the South Side is some of the toughest in the city. Very narrow streets and high density of buildings leaves little room for parking. One of the local traditions is to save a parking spot on the street in front of one's house by placing an item such as a chair in the space. Common tradition says you don't move the chair and you don't park there.

Except in Boston, not so well honored.

The garage at one of my clients' offices in downtown LA has really narrow spaces, and is usually pretty full. There are a ton of nice cars parked there, but the cars I see parked across two spaces are usually older. If the guy with the Bentley is nice enough to risk a door ding, then why aren't they?

I had a neighbor that would park over the line when I lived in an apartment long ago and I'd pull in several inches off their driver side door in the company car, they eventually got the message

Found out one of my employees parks like a douche. We were walking through the parking lot and happened upon his car. I didn't know it and I was in the midst of saying, "What is up with this?" when he opened the door! I gave him crap and pointed to areas he could park where his car would be safe instead of double-parking but he acted like he had every right.

If only I had a vindictive streak...

Inspired by the website dedicated to sh!tty parkers (youparklikeanasshole.com), I thought it would be fun to start our own thread, with our own douche parking encounters.

Here's one I just had at the bank. This Lexus thought he was important enough to occupy two spots

He doesn't want anybody to ding his car. Would not help him in NY. The idiots her would just park 1.5' away from him regardless of where he parks.

You know you can just turn your camera 90 degrees and the 2 pictures would fit in one.

Or is it another iPhone "don't hold it this way" thing?

(I know you love apple.)

LOL, no.. I walked behind the car on my way out and took the one picture, then as I was pulling away I took another for good measure

Honestly, I don't care if you take up 4 spots, but do it in the back of the parking lot. Not up-front-and-center, sheesh!

My pet peeve is when these DBags park in the coveted handicap spot. Police cars or po in their private cars have the habit of doing this in my local 7-11 and Dunkin Donut. What a disgusting habit. There are empty spots just on the next row in those small parking lots.

LOL! I came out of a store once and found a Volkswagon parked like 2 inches from my driver side. I was 6+ months pregnant, and had to go in from the passenger side and climb over the center console. I won't even tell you what I did to that car...
