2009 Z4 Pricing
Just found a 2009 3.0, brand new at a local dealer.
Wondering if anyone knows if there is trunk money available. Lists in mid $50s, but I have to think the dealer would like to see this car off his lot. Thanks in advance.

What are the options on the car? Being a year end 2009 of the lot it must just have the standard options?

Options - Thanks for Your Reply

Not exactly the list I would do if I was ordering one, but acceptable. They list it at $54,000, but I have to believe this car, now 2 model years old, should have lots of trunk money and a dealer anxious to sell it.

I bought mine in the low 40s and I have navigation and comfort access on top of every option you listed... That was 2 months ago.

Ask when the warranty takes effect. They probably "punched" this one already. You can use that to lower the price. If they punched it, they already took the trunk money. You should be able to go to Kelly Blue Book or NADA and get some idea what a used one is worth, just put in 50 miles in on the odometer reading....

CPO Prices
Go to www.bmwusa.com, select Certified PreOwned, then Model Search, then put in your parameters and see what other dealers in your area or the whole US are selling them for. There are 2009 3.0s for UNDER $40k.

I agree with everyone! I have all the options (this includes the sport package and 19 inch wheels) except for the iDrive and Navigation. My TomTom serves me well and I don't want the iDrive or the BMW Navigation for all problems I've read about.
I paid $53,500- + taxes in mid may this year (they did give me a good trade in value on my 2008 Z4 3.0is). So I think you should get at least $5,000- off the price they are asking start negotiating and if they play hard ball walk away there are plenty of deals out there even if you have to take a plane to pick up your Z it is worth the effort. When I made my search I found one on the west coast I was prepared to fly and drive it east. Then I was lucky and found one within 100 miles of my home. Good luck let us know how you make out. Remember don't look to eager during your negotiations walk away and tell the salesman "here is my e-mail, make me an offer I cannot refuse and we might have a deal" it worked for me ![]() Here is a whole bunch of them ... phone them or see them (some good locking babes in this bunch) http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...delSearch.aspx

Thanks
Thanks to all of you for the information.
Went to the dealer yesterday and for better or worse the car was sold. Purchased by a customer who also bought a new 5 series on the same day. Oh to be really wealthy.

For what it's worth I was hunting for a punched 09 3.0 a month ago and no dealer wanted to play ball. They were all asking too much for a car two model years behind with warranty already started. So I bought a new 2010 3.5 instead. Got over 12% off MSRP and killer 0.9% financing. I'd advise you to look for a dealer that still has a 2010 around. 2010 Z4 0.9 % financing is available for up to 72 months! There is a dealer incentive of $3500 on 2010 Z4s right now so you should be able to find one left somewhere.

In April I bought a loaded 2009 3.0 MSRP $57.6k for $40k--38 miles on it, punched August, 2009. Lots of deals to be had then--some of the other guys did close to the same! I'd be a real hard$ss on an '09, even more so now.

We are looking at a 2010, Black Black Sdrive 35i with manual transmission. My guess is its unsold because of the manual.
Sticker is 59,775. Dealer is asking $51,998. Any sense what I should pay as a lease? |

I wouldn't lease. BMW FS offers 0.9% financing for up to 72 months on 2010 Z4s right now.

Plus with the MSD program, your final lease "interest rate" ends up being about 2.4%, more than the 0.9% for sure, but not sky-high like 5% or 7%. I myself was wondering if it's worth going into a fully loaded "s" ($76k MSRP) on 36mo lease. Thinking I'm better of just going with a loaded lower-end model...which would probably be $63k MSRP, and has a 1% higher residual. Only thing I would get is more "power" with the top-end "s" trim...and I don't know if it's worth an extra $150/mo (though that probably doesn't sound like much does it....it all adds up!). Looks like the front bumper is also a bit different on the top-end model. Last edited by nanotech; 09-18-2010 at 02:35 PM. |

Ahhh well, one of the beauties of the state of Oregon. No sales tax. At all. Period. Nada, Zip, Zero. Can you tell I love not having a sales tax

Yeah I know that, that's the one fact that I can always remember about Oregon. I like it. I'm in TN and we don't have a state income tax, so yeah we can sort of brag about that...but I still it's more "fair" to not have a sales tax and just have a equally-profitable flat-rate income tax instead.....but then I would dread doing the state income tax returns also, which I don't have to now...lol, oh well.
Still thinking about loaded 35si vs loaded 35i. |
