Track my BMW
How accurate is the site? There is a major discrepancy between the options listed on the car on Track my BMW and the options that I ordered. Should I be concerned? I am taking delivery at some point this week, so should I just wait? AGHH!

The website was behind 4-5 days at the factory and was still awaiting transport 3 days after it was at the port in Belgium. I've been told to not worry about options list.

Your dealer "stole" an existing order and changed it to your specs. In a few days the equipment list should be accurate. You should request a copy of the official order from the dealer's BWMNA website though.

Site is always behind the dealers direct line into BMW. The site showed I was on order, and my dealer called telling me I was into production. Site is delayed, but better than no information at all.

I understand that the dealer may change a car, but I bought the car when it was already on the boat...how could they change it?

It was probably a Priority 4 card "Dealer Inventory," and it just so happened to be the exact car you wanted and when you agreed to buy it, they changed the status on it to Priority 1 - Customer Sold. This status will sometimes prioritize handing at the port for the VPC and it's transportation to the dealer, where you will take delivery.

The site is always inaccurate. It doesn't show your options or the appropriate stage of produciton. I ordered a car on July 24th and it showed all the wrong options. The car arrived 39 days later just as I ordered it. But... the BMW site says it is still on order. So just Forgetaboutit. It will be fine.
