Test SAV

I spotted a test 2011 X3 while on a weekend trip to Charleston, SC. It looked sharp and appeared to have a red leather interior.

Nice! Looks like the X3 has grown in size.

Think of it as a softer, more mainstream E53 X5. With horrid taillights.

Certainly possible that it had one-off red leather, but Chestnut Brown (AKA Red Brown) is one of the normal leather colors and sometimes looks pretty red.

You are right. It was probably chestnut brown. I was focusing more on working the camera phone rather than looking at the car.

The photos I've seen of the interior put the 3 Series to shame. Of course, in a couple of years, the next generation 3 Series will also get the new 8 speed ZF AT and upgraded interior.

I intend to drive the new X3 at the end of the year-the x35i version. Love when an SAV can do 0-60 in 5.5 seconds.

The wife should love it. Perhaps, me too!

The UK configurator shows a dark red Nevada leather, and a Havana brown, but no chestnut.

Sounds like a medium Communist brown.

It shows Red Brown, which is called chestnut brown in the US.
