Speedometer is acting wacky

Have had my new 2011 528i for a few weeks now and last week my speedometer started acting weird. First it was stuck on 0, then would go up to maybe 30mph when clearly I was going faster. Yesterday is started going backwards, too funny, so now when I am going 30 mph it is over around 120mph or something like that. Anybody have them happen to them? I need to get it over to service, just thought I would ask if anybody had some insight.

It's good that you are not too upset about it. The thought of the dealer "techs" taking apart my brand new car would give me the chills . I've never heard of speedometers acting up in any modern car before. Does anyone know what the problem is to make this happen?

I had a problem where my speedometer and cruise control indicators would stick. They replaced my cluster. There is also a TSB about this very problem from BMW NA (according to my dealer who I spoke with today). Works fine now.

Took it to dealer today, left it there, few hours later got call to pick up the car all is fine. Ran some tests, got some error code, reset something and it now works fine. Time will tell.
