Mein Auto: You've*got*to be kidding
I totally parked like a douche yesterday.

I didn't even KNOW it until I came back outside and noticed the spot next to me was then empty after a tight squeeze when I parked. Why was it empty? Well, I'd crammed my big ole X5's ass a good two inches of rear tire over the line! Woops! I wonder if the guy next to me was pissed! Sorry, buddy!

It doesn't matter in NY. You'd park 2" over the line, and the next one will park 2' from you. You'd park 4' INSIDE your line (like when you're next to the curb on the other side), and the next dude will still park 2" from you INSIDE your lines.

I'm being a little generous with the 2'

I always make it a point to park far away (unappealingly so), so no one parks beside me and dings my door. I enjoy the extra 60sec walk anyways. Even then, i don't take up two parking spaces for fear someone might see it and do something stupid

I agree with you here, I always make it a point to park away from everyone as well. But no matter where i park some douche bag in a beat up piece feels the need to park his piece of crap right next to me! then together we are out in the middle of no where parked next to eachother!

He needs the room after eating a meal at Luby's so he can open the door far enough to get in.

What's even funnier is that all those people park far away to get away from the dinging people, and he still parks that way.
