guibo ?

hello everyone i have new tires new balancing but wondering there is a slight vibration in accelerating to 100 mph , would this be the guibo going bad ? and also on accelerating from a dead stop ? but smooths out when i reach cruising speed weather its cruising at 40 or at 100 .... BUT ACCELERATING IS WHERE THE VIBRATION IS PRETTY NOTICEABLE . Any experience from you guys is valuable thanks ( 1995 525i with a 2.5 vanos engine and an automatic )

There are a lot of things that can cause the vibration you are referring to including a guibo and/or center bearing on the drive shaft. The best way to see if it is the guibo is to crawl up under the car and visually inspect it. Expect a few slight cracks in it, but they should not be major and the guibo should not be shredded (I've seen pictures of one shredded ). If you indeed determine that you need a new guibo, you should also replace the center bearing at the same time. Don't forget to mark the components so you can get everything aligned the same way when replacing everything.
