Strut Assembly Interchange question
Queston: will the entire front strut assembly from an 89 fit a 91? I know the cartridges are different part numbers but I'm "conserving capital". Any help is appreciated.

Good question. You may be able to go to realoem.com and plug in information for both years and see if the part numbers match. If they do, then you're good to go.

Yes, the front suspension is exactly the same for the m20 and m50 engined cars. So you can certainly conserve some capital here.

the only difference would be the strut bearing and shaft diameter of the strut but if you swap out completely the upper mounts are the same.

After looking at the swap, decided to just put new cartridges in it. Car is driving great and plan to get some use out of it.
