blower not working
I have a 1998 M3 and I have replaced the cabin filter, taken the blower out (tested and works)
and tried replacing the climate control module....... and still doesn't work.. Does anybody know what is wrong?? or to check?? or??? thanks, Last edited by seksm3; 10-05-2010 at 06:39 AM. |

Did you check the fuses?
I believe it's #10 in the fuse box under the hood. Also, it could be the final stage resistor. |

Assuming it is not your fuse I would command the fan motor to high and wiggle the connector to the final stage unit. Many reports of the FSU connector bundle not making contact.
Just because you checked the fan out of the car doesn't mean its good I am afraid to say. The fan usually starts to stop operating once it gets hot and the oiless bearings heat up and the brushes are most likely shot too. I think you can replace the brushes but not sure you can repair the bearing issue. Only solution is another motor... |
