Jeeps are ugly, but they get the damn job done. If I believed in paranormal I would say blingy SUV's are the damn devil. Even in OK I rock a 01 Durrango that a tree fell on 2 winters ago. It has dents so the Bimmers don't have too. And to be honest, nobody gives a **** WHAT it looks like when the jet skis are behind it in the summer.

Craigslist is the crappiest place to try and sell stuff anymore.

i listed 3 plastic bumpers and a fAacelift valence FS.

i had 1 guy ask me if id change his timing belt and how much it would cost. had another try and get me to lower the price $40-50 because he has to drive here from lancaster, AND he wanted me to install it for free. and finally today i recieve an email asking about early model parts.

do people not know how to read ? i didnt list e30 mechanic services FS, its not my responsibility to cover your insanely high estimated gas cost or my responsibility to install it for free. and finally if i had otrher bumpers/parts from an early car that i wanted to sell dont you think they'd be in my listing with all the other bumpers ?

Its also becoming hard to buy shyt on there... Sellers aren't replying to your emails anymore and dont call back. Why post shyt up if you dont want to contact the buyer? So annoying

While I may not like you I can agree with the philosophy, Craigslisters are all from the Darby slums and try any tactic on the planet to barter you out of your goods for next to nothing.

WTF semantics? Are you all of 12? Mechanic work is mechanic work, if he showed discontent with a timing belt then assuredly the same discontent follows.

OTH I made $758 off a Craigslist lady with a 91 525i that just needed a rad and a belt tensioner. Broke down and all warning lights came on and she towed it to her house and it sat 8 months. Then I spent $50 in parts and used a rad I had and it bought my E30. So don't be too pompous to extort a craigslister, it may end up FTW......

i love people like that. leave no phone number then a month later they respond and say they couldnt check theor emails or couldnt get to a omputer. how about not listing an item online if you have no way to get the replys ?

i never leave my phone number, but im quick with responding to emails. i know alot of people who screw with phone numbers and the last thing i wanna deal with is a bunch of stupid high school kids trying to be funny calling my phone.

I havent had any issues with that..yet.

I did have fun with a guy offering to sell my M5 though! He wanted me to drop it off in Chicago, and he'd sell it for 4 grand over what I was asking, and he'd only take 7%. So I reluctantly agreed to make the 4 hour trip to drop it off. I told him I'd drop it off on Friday and he said that'd be great. So Friday comes and goes, the car is still sitting in my driveway. Saturday around noon I get a call from the guy, and this is how it went:

*********: "Hey just wondering if you were planning on dropping the M5 off?"
Me: "What? I dropped it off yesterday, I left the keys with Mike..?"
*********: "Mike? Mike who? At our shop??"
Me: "Yeah, he was wearing a shirt that said Auto Solutions, he said he'd take it into the shop."
*********".....we don't have any employees named Mike...."
Me: "What are you saying?!?! You have my car right?!??"
*********: "I dont know who Mike is, you must have dropped it off at the wrong place!"
Me: "I dropped it off at YOUR dealership! You lost my car!"
*********: "There must be a mistake! There is no Mike here!"
Me: "Im calling the cops, I'll see you in court asshole!"
**Hangs up phone and laughs for about 15 minutes. Most epic moment of my life

And in other news, I'm looking to pick up a 1981 MK1 rabbit as a winter beater/future toy. I've been looking at parts and they seem cheap as dirt to fix up. Rokkor coilovers are $289 shipped, cheap junk but it drops the front up to 4". I'd slap on some primer then flat black paint, tint, slam it, and drive it till it dies. The motor is out of a 91 passat, 134hp and 130ft lbs, in a car that weighs about 1800lbs.. Obviously it needs work, but for the $450 i'm gonna offer i think it'd be worth it just for ****z n giggles. Also, the interior is stripped out cause the carpet was crap, so I'd leave the rear seats out, replace the carpet, and put a nice sound system in it.
