Replaceing front disc
Can i replace both front disc at home, does anybody has pictures of procedure or DIY to do it?

If you can get the front of the car up and on jackstands, yes. I wouldn't do it from a jack.
Simplistic Procedure 1. Jack up car, remove wheels 2. Remove caliper (spring clip and 2 caliper pins) 3. Remove caliper bracket (2 bolts) 4. Remove set screw from rotor face 5. Slide off rotor (if you are lucky) If it doesn't come off easily, its probably rusted on. Since you don't care what condition it comes off in, beat it off with a B(ig)FH(hammer) 6. Once its off, clean up the mating surface and spread a little anti-seize around. DO this even if it comes off easily. 7. Reinstall and go to the next wheel There's a lot more considerations, but I am assuming you know how to change your brake pads already. Good luck and as with all DIY projects, you are on your own. Take your time and it'll be done before you know it.

It's simple unless the caliper screw is frozen.
If it is, you'll need some penetrating oil, and a hammer driven impact driver--you can get them at Sears--Craftsman of course. |
