Where's the best place to sell my Z4 seats?

I had to put orthopedic seats (sigh) into my 2003 Z4, and so I am parting with the regular roadster seats.

They are in absolutely perfect condition, with the headrests, vinyl covers, pads, seat frame with rails, and complete electrical system (these must be purchased separately at BMW). Each seat goes for $2,645 per seat at BMW. I'm selling them for $750 per seat ($1,500 for both) OR BEST OFFER.

I covered the seats with sheepskin seat covers for their entire life and so the seats are in spotless mint condition (as you can see in the photos, which also show the complete electrical system intact, etc.). Black pseudo-sheepskin covers come along for free with seats.

I tried posting them on Chicago Craigslist, but there are not a lot of Z4 owners reading that forum...

I'm curious as to what orthopedic seats look like and why you had to replace both of them? I don't really sit in the passenger seat much in my car.

Orthopedic seats look much like the regular roadster seats, except they have more controls : for the depth of the seat (distance from hip to knee), tilt of the seat, lumbar support, etc.

They are good - make it possible for me to continue driving my Z4 for years to come

However, normal seats like that don't go for more then $300 - $500 max for a set. Some M sport seats were just sold for $600 for a set.

this is more what i'd expect to pay as well. I am looking for replacement seats, unfortunately blue is the wrong color I need

Well, OBO... That is, make me an offer. They are *black* seats, by the way, although the camera seems to make them look blue-ish in some of the photos.

You say they have a "complete electrical system", but they are clearly manual seats. I guess you mean airbag connections? Being vinyl, manual seats I would guess 150-200/ seat max as the leather, power seats above are listed at $525/pr. CL can take some time so I would not give up on it. You could try listing on CL in other big cities as well since many don't know how to do the nationwide CL searches.

Why not keep them for when you eventually sell the car (maybe that isn't on the cards ever ??).

Well, first of all, I have no intention of selling my Z4!.

Secondly, the seats I had put in (the orthopedic seats) are incredibly comfortable - for anybody - hip problems or not. They only raise the value, not lower it.

Anyway, I just moved and brought the seats with me. They are still for sale.

They are the original BMW leatherette. Take a look at the photos to see the condition they re in - I kept black faux sheepskin covers on them (included with the seats) and so they are not worn at all.

leatherette isn't gonna happen for me, I was looking for beige leather seats however I could be persuaded to try black ones, but not leatherette
