Strut brace installed a few days ago, I finally remembered to take a couple of pictures of it today.

The engine compartment is filthy. Weeks of dry weather and windy conditions dusted everything, and the leaves have been falling faster than I can blow them off the car. I gave up until they're all off the branches.

Noticeable difference?

Can't drive it yet...no way to tell. I still have to put the new differential carrier in her. The old one is bent toward the drivers side and keeps pulling the right side CV axle apart.

I envy you guys that get so much done so fast on your cars. I've had this thing almost a year and still can't drive her. I have a storage shed, trunk and back seat full of parts for her and can only work on her once in a while. Like I've said before "today on my bimmer" I get in her, crank her up and go 'vroom, vroom' about once a week.

Yeah i wish i had enough money to work on my car as i please... ill make time around my 2 jobs and girlfriend.

picking up the e28 in a bit. gonna drag her home and start fixing her up. i'll post pics, don't worry. she's a bit rough, but for the funds i can't beat it. i think it'll be for the stepmonster to drive when he gets his license. mrs df doesn't want him driving the 3 and i don't want him in the 7 (v12 + 1st time teen driver = ).

he doesn't know about it yet, so don't tell him, ok guys?? it's a secret...

Was in the Honda dealership Friday replacing my 1997 CRV ( 280000Km) (day to day car) with another reliable (2006) CRV and spotted a beeeeeyoutiful 2006 323? convertible in the showroom for under $20K and only 141,000 Km on it.... it was like new!!!! even the drivers leather seat was unmarked!
sale included free winter storage ( they assume it is not going to be driven in winter!)
Boy I nearly came home with another BMW and no CRV - but I think the wife would have killed me!!!

The wrecked one? Nah, it's an '88 325i. Motor/wiring harness/DME donor for the AW '85 325e

But nah, it won't make a difference in handling, at least not that any of us could notice.

Actually, it looks really clean. I like it (except for the transmission). You can probably pull that dent in the door out very easily, too. Nice find.

my favorite mod was the aftermarket hood holder. it adds like 20 rwhp. (just, uh, don't tell anyone, ok?? he'll probably want one...)

that's what god invented rattle cans for. flat black??

i am gonna drop the bumpers, or at least set them in more flush, un-dent the door, and replace the missing trim.

some new suspension goodies have already been put on by the po, so that was a plus. i will need to freshen up the plugs and run some seafoam through it, clean the usual suspects, but all of the belts and hoses seem to be in order. the shifter handle is broken, so that's also on the 'to-do' list, as is sorting out the sticky buttons (soda spillage ), and repair a hole in the down pipe. think the po ran over something....

paint will be the last thing. this is gonna be a 1st time ride for stepmonster, so i don't want to do too much to it without him putting in some skin and fundage. pretty much the way it sits is the way he will get it for christmas (minus the leaves and debris and afore mentioned items).

i will keep pics as these things happen if y'all would like.

Sounds like a plan. And yeah, the more photos, the better.

I got my 325is fitted with better rubber, ultimately fixing the rubbing issue I had on the rear fender. Found out today however, I've got a few things that need dire attention (guibo, fan/fan clutch, coolant hoses) Here's a pic from an quick photoshoot tonight.

LOL I know I hate that grill job and the headlights/tails. But after all they are just cosmetics. I'm fixing the mechanical parts first then cosmetics.

Nope...it's there, but it's scrap. The PO rear-ended a service truck and wiped out the front end. If I had one, I'd give it to you.
