extended maintenence package

I drive about 15K per year, so the question is does the 6year , 100K mileage planned service package make sense financially on a 35D? and do you have to purchase at delivery or can you upgrade at future date before 4 year / 50K coverage expire ? Should add I keep cars about 5-6 years, at least if they are worth it

You can purchase extended maint and or extended warranty up to standard coverage.

I like to keep my cars but that is me.

DO NOT buy it at purchase- you will rarely get a good price, AND it is not refundable if the car is totaled or sold.

DO shop around when you are ready to buy. Get the very best price you can via phone/etc with other dealers, sponsor on board. You might give your SA a chance to match/beat it, if you have a good relationship with them- someone mentioned they can sometimes do that as they know they'll be getting you back as a customer.

Personally I think the maintenance is a scam. I read it pencils out IF you are the kind of owner that just takes the car to the dealership and pays their outrageous prices...but even the salesmen that post admit that going to an indy can save money. If you are not a 'car person' perhaps it is a good idea

I agree, the extended maint is not a very good deal the extended warranty might be on some models and lots of considerations needed for tire warrantie/ tire & wheel insurance.

Mein Auto: getting an X5 diesel
I was thinking along the same lines and debating. Did you get pricing on it?

Would you mind sharing?

Thanks!
