Does the TPM Stay on the Summer Wheels in Storage?

I put winter wheels and tires on my 550i. If one leaves the summer tires inflated on the summer wheels in storage, does the tire pressure monitors just stay on the summer wheels? Where are the tire pressure monitors located and what do they look like? Thanks.

Yes, they are in the tires mounted in the wheels. You can go to to tirerack and they have a picture of what they look like. Did you have the TPM's transferred? (OR, did you buy a set of wheels and tires with new TPM's?) If you bought an OEM/dealer package, they would have installed new TPM's.

Sensors are mounted inside the rim, behind the valve stem. To take them out, you would have to dismount and then remount the tires on the rim.
