Street tires on the track DE events

After four days of Driver Education events at VIR Which street tire and wheel should I use at the track? I have two sets of rims, an 18 and a 19 inch. Should I purchase the low profile 19 inch tires or the 18 inch tire? I would like to use these tires at more DE events and when I drive on the street on nice days. The both sets I own are wearing thin. Why??? The tires are on a 2002 E46.

because of the fact that the e46 m3 doesnt have ridiculous horse power, i would go with the 18 inch because you are going to put your torque and power to the road more effectively. one question however, are the 19's wider than the 18's because if the 19's are more than about .7 inches wider you are going to get more benifit on lateral g than you are going to lose in power so in the caswe of them being wider use 19's
