Headlights w/ CCFL Halo's!
Hi!,
Okay, So its time to spruce up the front end a little and figured I'd come here before I begin part hoppin'. I would like to go from This: ![]() To this w/ Halos and black interior w/ GLASS lenses : ![]() Now, I searched around...and read with the above aftermarket headlamp set, These are NOT self leveling and that this set is designed for the HALOGEN model, but could work for the xenon model if I buy two metal plate adaptors it says. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-98...Q5fAccessories So my question(s) is this..... 1. Exactly what else would I need to buy to go along with a set like these to get me up & running???? 2.The whole XENON thing sounds pretty nifty, Would that be a hard DIY setup to complete? 3. Do I need a "Self Leveling" Headlamp set w/ Halo's ? Thank You!

You can just install angle eyes in your original headlights. Just google it.

The photo you posted looks like a 1999-2001 headlight, those years came standard with Xeneon low beams and self leveling in the US but you have a 1998?
www.e38.org has several posts about lighting that might help. You can upgrade to Xenon headlights. Upgrading to self leveling is probably cost prohibitive. You can add Angel Eyes with aftermarket kits. You can change out the headlights with a product like you posted, but several people have reported bad experiences with cheap assemblies that do not fit well and are of poor quality. |

Yes, Mr. Wong, I have a 5/98 740iL. That photo was just for reference. Hmm, Will scout e38.org and do FURTHER research before I try a definite route. And thank you for the heads up on the aftermarket sets and the bad experiences people have with them.
Thank You!
