Z3M rebuild suggestions
So it has come to the time where I am going to pretty much strip the car down and rebuild it. It's got 240km on it and has had the supercharger on for over 200 of that. Last summer it was having some overheating issues and some power issues. Also the suspension is gone (original still) so i figure starting from scratch would be better.
My question is really more about the motor, I'm looking for ideas as far as the rebuild goes. Any minor upgrades that will help in the long run? I'm planning on exploring more boost out of the charger so anything would help that IMO. car made 230whp(10yr old S/C belt that slipped badly) on a mustang dyno last year, im looking to get to 300 next year. It really shouldnt be too difficult so all i was thinking was some ARP studs and a decent metal headgasket(if i can find one) anything else I should consider? |

I built a supercharged S-52 engine last year with several performance upgrades; Total Seal gapless piston rings, VAC S/C cam set, TechLine polymer coatings on everything (thermal barrier, thermal dispersant & dry-film lubricants).
Not cheap, labor intensive...

Willing to go into a bit more detail about the build?
Not too worried about labour, ill be doing most of the labour myself and I have 2 certified techs that will be helping me with the motor |

Yeah, I'm not too big on typing out all the details, but I take lots of pictures. You can ask questions, and maybe I'll remember what I've done
