Reverse lights stay on
I have a 1990 325ic and I noticed that the backup lights come on when I start the car.
They are also lit while in reverse, but stays on while the car is running. Can anyone advise about this problem? Thanks guy's. |

check to make sure the wires with the male end coming from your selector lever are plugged into the correct female end going into the car. There are two options that fit, connecting them incorrectly will result in your lights staying on.

The E30 is what all actual driving enthusiasts are after. It's an unpretentious machine, quietly capable of spectacular feats of handling. It's light, simple design is rugged enough to run against $400k rally cars, but on the street it' communicative chassis delights even the most disinterested driver. It really is one of the world's ultimate driving machines |

A bad reverse light switch is a common problem. If I recall correctly, they're about $15.00, look on-line for a description on how to replace.
