Totaled. Asswipe that was tailgating didn't like my speed, so swooped around and slammed on this brake - swear to god I tagged his passenger taillight before the SUV behind did a PIT on the e30, across four lanes into a guardrail and another car at 65.

She's a goner.

Oh yeah, he pulled over, then took off. I think once he realized how many cars/lanes were involved he had no interest in sticking around. Going to see about getting video from the freeway feeds - going to have to prove my innocence on this one.

Sucks.

Glad you're ok. I know a minty 84 325e coupe (stroker) with euros and valance if you look fr another e30.

Was hoping to retrieve the car, but the economics don't work out for that. Given it was essentially demolished, there aren't any parts to salvage, and the engine was just plumb wore out.

Paying the tow guy $150 for his time and handing the title over - will retrieve the stereo, but the rest is his.

Yup. It's genuine too. I thought I typed it, but looking back it just says valance, so I dunno what I did there.......

Nope - state DoT camera feeds aren't "recorded". I'm sure if the state needed recorded vids from those cameras it'd be available, but if you think about it, they can't provide that stuff to the 10's of thousands of accident cases a year. Sucks in this case , but I understand the logistics.

This ended up on my insurance, but not cited for anything - all in all, a non-issue, as luck would have it.

I had a guy attack me while i was on my motorcycle. I went down. He stopped, starred at me, and when i started heading toward him he took off. These assholes who H&R will get theirs one way or another.

Amen to that. Just the other day, I found the guy who Hit and Ran my E30. It was a long seven weeks, but karma will come back to get them.
