2001 740IL - Numerous issues

Hello,

I would greatly appreciate anyone’s inputs regarding purchasing replacement parts for my 2001 740IL. I have had the car for 1 year (passed all initial inspections without any problems) and now I am experiencing significant issues with the vehicle. It only has 100,000 miles and has the following problems. My recent quote from the BMW dealer was higher than I paid for the car. Used (non-dealer) seems to be my only option at this time.

- Transmission clutch plates are damaged (not sure yet about valve body condition - new trans or rebuild is required)
- Light control module has intermittent failures
- Engine thermostat not working properly
- Rear ball joints

Also, if anyone can recommend any brake replacement solutions. I found after market kits on EBay, but I am hesitant.
