Mojave & Chestnut Interior
Just decided on an X3 35i, now I need to decide on interior. I am pretty sure I am going with Titanium Silver exterior or White and have always had Black interiors in the past but I am intrigued by these two options, particularly the Mojave.
I know there are almost none of these in Forum members driveways yet but if anybody is at a dealer that has a demo in these colors I would appreciate a snapped photo. My dealers demos are Black and Beige. I asked my CA for samples but he did not have any, should they have some of those on hand....it's tough because these colors seem to be exclusive to the new X3 and are not on anything else on the lot. Thanks much, JT |

Both of those colors are only available on pre-sold vehicles so dealers won't have them sitting on the lot.

Mojave is here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...2&postcount=23
Chestnut is similar to that in the 3er, a red-brown (more red) hue. |

AZn,
Thanks so much for that link, I could not find a pic anywhere. I have to say, the Mojave is pretty cool...debating if I would feel that way day after day. Definitely seems like a more conservative choice then Chestnut. |

Different names for different markets, but the same thing.
Similarly, "Chestnut Brown" is more accurately dubbed "Red Brown" in Germany. |

The Mojave appears to be a charcoal gray, not brown or red at all. Last edited by Cactus; 12-29-2010 at 08:19 PM. |

Außenansicht = Exterior view Innenansicht = Interior view 360° Einsteigsansicht = Driver's view You will see that Rotbraun = Chestnut as it is in the E90/91. Havanna = Mojave (The Germans would have issues pronouncing "Mojave") By the way if none of y'all have figured out based on my ranting, BMW Deutschland is infinitely a better website than BMW USA. Can anyone confirm if "Chestnut" available on the X3 is the same as "Brown Chestnut" offered on 3 series cars and or "Fox Red" available on M3's. I know the texture will not be the same but the dealer is telling me these are all the same.

not sure about the brown chestnut, but it is not like the red in the M3...it is closer to Cinnamon which is available on the x5 or F10.

Not trying to be a smart ass -- but dealerships are beginning to (if not already) get decent sized swatches of the different leather choices.
The Chestnut is a really nice brown-red color, depending on the exterior color choice, of course! Doug

yeah, definately check out some other pics of the chestnut interior that are floating around on other forums etc... It is definately much more red than the brownish color online configurator makes it look. http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showpo...18&postcount=5 |

My dealer still doesn't have the upgraded swatches to add to their SAV book. I ended up taking the dive on Chestnut interior with Space Grey. I figured it would be fun based on other photos although it does look very red in photos. So heres hoping I love it or at least like it when I pick it up.
