You need to create a empty file in the ncsexpert\work folder named FSW_PSW.MAN and you shouldnt have any problems.

yea i got 202 in my vehicle order, and had transmission mode set from automatic to steptronic. but theres still one more thing i need to do.

Regarding the steptronic retrofit, from what I recall it was VO option 202, that it was something coded to the EGS (but that the rest of the car needed the updated VO or something)

Regarding the shifting controls for the steptronic retrofit, in the wiring diagrams it looked like you could hook up one of the steering wheel thumb buttons to another set of terminals (I forget the pin assignments, but I think they were immediately next to where each button is normally wired in)...that way one thumb would be upshift, the other downshift.

That's about as far as I got in my research.

The E65 does not have a legaldesc option in the files. You will need to change the Vehicle country from US to ECE and the accept screen will no longer show up, Easy fix. Makaveli can explain it in detail, he is the one that told me how to do it.

i did this twice and got the same result i only get this error when i finsih step 43

no it wont, my car is currently ece aka gl61 and screen is there.

when you say remote start . how will accomplish that from the key fob?

i just saw a video on youtube of someone with a 3 series had hit unlock, lock, unlock, lock then it started. but i dont know.

My bad, I didnt mean to say you helped me, it was another member and I who figured it out. Its not in the VO you need to change its in the MMi/CCC interface where you change it from US to ECE and US_ll to ECE_LL.

MY VO is still set to US spec and I dont have the warning screen anymore, with the above changes I completed.

I believe its at ece_ll. I'll check it later, actually I think I changed that back to us on that file.

Adrian did for me remote closing trunk and fog lighs on with high beams plus he does all my repairs for the car.

I just finish with Adrain in Queens he just hook up my windows,sunroof& trunk to open and close with remote!!!! This is great!!!! Oh and he got rid of the Accept sign when u turn on the car on the Nav!!!!!

This must be a US feature. I don't have this annoyance on my car and I can see why people want rid of it

As for the boot/fob feature. On mine, you simply use the boot button on the fob, holding it to close it..

I can't see anyone wanting to open all the windows and the roof just to open the boot
(and vice versa)

I wonder why BMWUSA retard all these features..?

Actually, I had got mine to close the trunk off of just holding the trunk close button this morning. But I switched it back to holding the lock button. Do you know anything about remote start, as far as what buttons to press to start it? And you don't have to open windows to open trunk.

just came back after visiting Adrian again for Auto Park issue, aftr about 30 min messing he gave up trying to fix, but promised me to call me in a few days to solve that issue. But i have to go see my stealer anyway for brakes recall, so i think I'm fine, can leave without that future for next few days, instead got nice new futures as i stated earlier in this thread

I'll see if I can find auto park when I get home

Auto Park is standard on all 7's and you should have the option under settings in idrive (southwest) on the menu under vehicle. All you do is click on it and it should show up in green on the gauge cluster.
