Mein Auto: hpefully tomorrow a z3
help! buying an 01 z3 tomorrow

Tomorrow I'm going to make an offer on and hopefully purchase a 2001 z3 3.0. Everything looks good but it seems like its missing and arm rest or something form the center console. Its pretty low mileage (67000) and the interior looks near perfect otherwise. But feeling along the sides of the console on the back it feels like there are points on each side for something to mount to. Here's a pic from the dealers site and here's one of another 2001 z3 3.0 I'm not sure if the center console is different on automatics but these are both 5-speeds. I just thought it looked odd without it. Since I have your attention is there any trouble areas i should check before i buy?

Thanks. Other than one or two little dings and some wear starting to show on the drivers seat the missing arm rest is the only thing I've noticed wrong so if the price is right tomorrow I'll be buying the car and then driving home and ordering the arm rest.

The car looks clean. They did not come with center arm rests. LeatherZ makes a nice one which is color matched. With that mileage, it should be selling in the $11-12.5K range.

I bougth my parents Z3, 2.3 2000 with 35K on the car . I guess I can said the car was truly driven by a little old lady. The car was maintain by the dealer in FL. It nice to know about the arm rest. Would any know of any issue I should look into when I get the car in March?
