Nice pix. but the impression I got was "stark". I felt like I was looking at an entry level Hyundai or Highlander. Maybe it was just the combination of white car and camera angle but it didn't look luxo at all. Certainly not worth the significant price. Then of course I saw the "I" drive knob and immediately dismissed the car from consideration.

Hopefully the pictures aren't representative of the new X3 interior. I'll be looking for a new car in a few months and am considering the X3, but that interior is about the worst I've seen - looks like a rental car. Why would a dealer have that in the showroom? Maybe it's the lighting.

I've been in two different F25s, and am floored by these pictures. The steering wheel is completely wrong, and the aluminum looks like plastic. The whole interior looks off. Maybe this was an early demo car? Maybe it was the flash? Not sure. But the two that I've been in look a lot more like the pictures you see on the BMWUSA configuration.

The X3 shown in that photo is a Euro spec vehicle.

Guys, that was my though also. Car was show in SoCal - Bob Smith BMW - not sure if this is euro-specs car. Check out speedometer pic - Miles and temp in Fahrenheit.
I feel that this was not a production car - look at navigation screen. I think this was mock up that they just bring to dealership. I just hope, that real car has way better interior or my wife will choose Q5.

I was going to choose leatherette until I saw the leather with the raised stiching. Looks very classy.

The photos don't do the leather justice. I had leatherette in my 07 and leather in my 08 and would have opted the cost difference to the adjustable ride control

Also, I think the metal just looks bad. There should be a price reduction if you choose the metal.

If I wasn't going to have wood, carbon fiber would be the only other choice.

What is the interior leather color for this? I don't see gray as option when we build ours.

I am fairly sure that you're seeing black leather with a really strong flash.

It isn't euro spec, but it is a complete stripper. No nav, auto climate control, etc...what a ridiculous car to show off, are they trying to get people to buy more q5's?

Are these not supposed to be on sale yet? My dealer has 2 in stock, one of them in the showroom... interior isn't quite as bad as those pictures (though the materials still are lacking somewhat compared to other BMWs IMO).

That is a Euro spec car. All US X3's have auto climate control and steering wheel controls for the cruise and audio.

This is a pre-production model sent out as a viewing demo early on. We had this same exact looking X3 back in mid November at a local dealer, and it was not available to test drive. A couple weeks later our dealer had a loaded 35i and a 28i both of which are not for sale but are for test drives only, to get you to place orders.

Don't know why this pre-production model is still being shown unless they are short production models going around to dealers. But all three dealers in my area have had X3's available for test drive for some time now.

I saw one yesterday at Montreal Auto Show; I am impressed too. Looks like an homerun. Its interior was even nicer than a Q5 beside. There was a X1 too; it is a gen behind, IMO.
