M badge

Hi everyone I just bought an x5 4.8is and there is an M\\\ badge in back. Is it lame to keep it? The ex owner told me that this truck deserves to be in the m family. What do u guys think

Purely personal opinion: Lame. It is not an M car. An X5M, no problem, but an X5 with any powertrain and any options, no.

To put the question another way, would it be lame to have an AMG or VTEC badge on the back of your X5 or either of my BMWs? I think so...

While I have driven an X5 4.6is and it is very close to being an M car, it wasn't an M car.
