Sounds like we're getting the same info from our military sales reps. Although expected, hopefully they don't increase the cost of the MY2012s all that much, especially if there are close to no changes. Have you placed your order yet? Don't know where you will be placing your military sales order, but my X5 is going into week 14 production (Apr) and I can realistically expect to receive shipment of the vehicle in late Jun - mid Jul. Close to 6/7 months from original purchase date so this vehicle better be worth the wait.

Good luck on your purchase.

Which model did you try to order? I want to make sure my salesman is telling me the truth as it pertains to the 35d being delayed until Oct for the 2012.

35i m package

talked to sales team today. they said pricing will be available monday and then they can begin taking orders for may production of 2012. i am looking at the 3.5i sport activity with the m package. now if only i could decide between alpine white, silver, and space grey. i was ready to order space grey but 2 people told me today the alpine white is the way to go. i read another post that alpine white on the x5 was a pita.

It's all a matter of personal taste, but I didn't choose the Alpine White as it wasn't metallic. I strongly prefer metallic paints and would have ordered white if they had a metallic white available. I've got a 1992 BMW K75S motorcycle in metallic white and it really looks great when the sun hits it, with the metallic highlighting the curves.
