Suggest you do a message search, as this is a common topic discussed extensively. Short answer is that the only effective solution is non-BMW brake pads.

The BMW wheel cleaners (both the regular and the gel) are great, and very reasonably proced, especially when you use your BMWCCA discount. Have not tried the wax.

Nothing with "cure" the problem, but there are things that will "help". There is a coating (IIRC it is called Rejex) that helps keep brake dust from adhering. You could check the BF Detailers forum for more info. Wheel wax may do the same thing, but I am (naively) concerned about it discoloring under heat. And you can always switch to different brake pads, if it really bothers you.

I always wax my wheels, I use Meguiars Gold Class. Of course, it does nothing to prevent the brake dust, but they do clean up easier, and look better when cleaned.

Wash the car once a week, problem solved....

I've done some serious field testing on this product on my detail customers cars. Many are German cars. I've noticed that it cuts the dusting to much less than half and reduces cleanup time to almost nothing.
