88 730i - Battery

The initial problem was my alternator belt broke. I didn't know it I drove 2days and car died on me. I had no warnings but dimmed headlights, slow windshield wipers. I replaced my alternator and my alternator belt on an 88' 730i it ran for a day and i have to recharge the battery my battery only charged to 75% after getting it checked out. I know I have dead battery cell could that be the problem. I have a 3.0 straight 6 engine
