Connecting android to the x5 to listen to music
Does anybody know if you can connect your android phone to a 2011 x5 and listen to music

Hint: Search is your friend. Almost any question you can think of has already been discussed (sometimes ad nauseum) here on the 'Fest. The Search feature (black menu bar near the top of the page) is a great way to learn things.
Combox is the name of the new controller installed on X5's built after mid-September 2011. Your sig does not say what year X5 you have; if it was built prior to 9/10, you do not have the combox and cannot stream content. Assuming you do not have Combox, have you tried connecting the Android to the car via the USB port? You should be able to play music, but you will probably have to use the phone (not the iDrive) to select tracks, etc.
