New Spy shots of the F30

It doesn't look like too drastic a change... i'll keep my fingers crossed for the currently available drivetrains to at least be carried over as an option. One can hope, ja?

Overall, looks pretty bland. The current accent lines on the body and hood appear to be played down and nothing about the overall shape is very exciting at all. Also looks like you could type a book using all those buttons on the steering wheel.

I agree, but we may be pleasantly surprised. They may have figured out how to keep the dash flat and still maintain proper ergonomics (unless you want to hide the speedometer from your co-pilot!).

I'm not sure I agree. I don't want these cars to turn into Saabs. I already think the new 5er is too much driver oriented. To each his own, I guess.

+100. This was one of my favorite things about BMW interiors, and I was sad to see that the E90 didn't have it and was hoping this one did. Another reason to love my E46!

Doubt it. If you look at some spy shots they completely change how its supposed to be, in regards to aesthetic look so that the design can remain hidden. I mean I'm sure that where the brake light is going to be but how its going to look is not just going to be a red circle, it'll probably be more traditional.

Additionally, they can't be too audacious with the design, as the 3 series is the bread and butter of the company and they can't afford to lose their biggest seller, just as was the case with the E90, where it wasn't as radical a change from the E46 as compared to how the new generation 5 and 7 series were.

Also, the dash seems to have gone back to four bubbles with computer information beneath the two larger middle gauges, whereas the E90 has just two large gauges.

Huh? The f10 is driver-oriented? Do you mind sharing which part I missed?

On a positive note, it seems like BMW is safe since MB already did an incredible job of making the new C even uglier than the current version (http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/au...69789f66d8b9f3).

I actually like the current design of the C300 but damn that facelift didn't come out so good. It looks really muddled.

I don't like the new exterior looks or interior. I certainly won't be getting one, at least until I get the money or a loan. Then I will get one as soon as as possible.

Hmm, the low-end SAABs are oriented towards all occupants, have huge trunk space, decent rear legroom. True, the dash i curved so the driver can easily access all controls, and the Night Panel function eliminates the entire display except speedo and alerts.

Sorry, couldn't help it, biased, but will leave the brand soon because of the loss of enthusiast driver support with detuned 9-3 engines and inappropriately puny powerplants on the 9-5, where the 6MT is absent in AWD.

That steering wheel seems very busy, and reminiscent of my former Audi.

I would not assume anything from these pictures, I'm sure the F30 will look quite different from the E90. These pictures are too raw and the car is still too underdeveloped to try and say this is what it's going to look like based on the pictures.
