I'm in MA also.
I also considered the BMW School.
Instead, I decided on the Skip Barber School at Lyme Rock Raceway CT.
I saved airfare and I would highly recommend the school.
They have M3s, Lotus, Porsche, Lexus.
I did the two-day school but they have many options.
I will probably go back this Spring/Summer

Topnotch. Great instructors - all track experienced - and very patient, pushing students at students' pace. I did the 2-day car control course, the 2-day M school (in the wet first day), and Advanced M School at VIR. Advanced M is the best, but you really do need at least the basic M school or you'll either hurt the class or yourself.

The car control class is great to make you a better everyday driver. The M School gets you used to the limits of grip and starts you thinking about how to plant the car etc. Advanced M School shows you how easy and how hard driving fast on a great track can be (the difference is about 10 - 20 mph). Several in my class there were repeats. I'm probably going back this summer. The last issue of Bimmer magazine had an article on the VIR course by Jackie Jouret, chief editor - we were in the same class last year.

Some good class reports here and at Zpost. Search.

Yeah, I did the 2 day car control program and it's awesome. You learn from teachers who are either current or former racers and put in a solid 7 hours of driving per day. Loads of fun and you learn some great skills. You can tour the X3 and X5 factory across the street too.
