Creaking noise from rear suspension on 2004 x5 3.0d sport

Hello,can anyone help me please,i have a 2004 3.0d sport x5 and it has developed a horrible creaking noise from driverside rear supension (sounds like an old pram).when driving there is a loud creaking,i have had back jacked up and can here noise when using lever under the wheel but cant figure out where it is coming from. Any help would be appreciated.

same problem on mine. Its the rear sub-frame bushes

It could be a number of things, control arm bushing, ball joints (very common) and even subframe bushings. The upper control arm has a ball joint and its usually the problem but not always.

Yep all the same here BMW confrimed rear ball joints £458 for the pair..... local garage £323.00 The parts are around £35-40 each. book time is around 1.5hrs per side.
