Numerous Warnings out of the blue
I've got a 2005 X5 3.0d Sport and have only had it a few months (Second hand). Its got 58k on the clock and runs really well. However, yesterday I travelled around 150 miles in it, stopped off for an hour and when I got back in and moved off, the airbag warning light came on. This was then followed by the seat belt warning (which went on for around 3-4 minutes). Then cruise control stopped working.
It had been raining really hard and I wondered if damp got into the electrics? Today, all seemed well (even cruise control) but after a journey of around 40 miles I stopped off for 10 mins, got back in and the warning lights kicked in again. Anyone got any suggestions on what this might be? I'm worried about a massive dealer bill... Thanks in advance |

Took it to the dealer and they eventually found it to be a faulty ignition switch.
Swapped out and fixed! |
