AUSSIES; how much are we paying for the X1?

Hi all Aussies, I saw the X1 for the first time the other day:

I was pricing up the S 2.0 Diesel model and with Automatic it came to around $60,000.

If you own one, do you mind sharing what you paid for yours and what options please? Just doing some research as my wife likes the car and I'm also warming up to it.

In Mexico I paid 39,000 US dollars for a 2.5 six pot with navigation, leather seats and almost full equipment. Cars seem to be expensive down there

economy of scale.... we are a country of 21 mil people (total australia population is less than mexico city) and BMW sold 17,000 cars a year

that's why

cars may be expensive here but we get free clean air :-)
