Ok, I found one but didn't use it yet...

A little bit off-topic but...
Another question, specificly for Honolulu BMW lovers - do you know if there's any place here in Honolulu where you can go and work on your vehicle by your own? Like rent-a-garage or something? I need to change O2 sensors with spark plugs but can't do it near my condo, I already got one warning...

Any help/ideas will be very helpfull...

Hmmm, that's a tough one...I always see people work on their cars at the checker auto parts parking lot I. Dillingham. The workers doesn't seem to care as long as your at the parking lot at the side of the store and not in front by the entrance.if you know it will only be a few hours, then it will be fine if you work on it if you park out on the street. At my in-law's apartment, I always park out on the street when I work on their cars.everyone seems to do work on their cars out on the streets...hope that helps. Btw, where'd you get the maintenance tool from? I need to purchase one...

I found one place here (well except from places where it cost $100 and up...) - B and B auto repair they can ready it. Actual tool I'm about to buy from eBay or other site like that (cheaper) from China or Taiwan. I can send you a link if you like - I found one for $49, not PEAK one but will do same job.

I've got CarSoft to work but it can't find any codes for SRS even though it's ON.. Kinda strange... So I want to get another tool to double check.

Today I'm going to that shop to read mine, I will let you know when I'm back if it's free or how much is it if you want to know that info.

I have the Peake SRS reset tool, will be more than happy to dust it off and put it to good use. We could meet around the airport or NEX parking lot this Saturday.

Shoots let me know how it turns out.all I really need to do is reset the oil and service inspection lights. My airbag light on the far right of the instrument cluster was on ever since I bought this car so it really doesn't bother me at all... But clearing it would be nice...oh, if you have friends in the military, ask them to set you up with that garage place in moana lua...right next to the military carwash spot. I just remembered there is a rent a garage there. We used to rent their spray booth there...

I'm trying to compile a list of the tools that can reset the SRS airbag light.

Can you provide more information?

- What can cause an airbag SRS light (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) and what can reset it (1)

I don't have it yet I will try to play with CarSoft on weekend and then I decide should I buy it or not... It not bothering me just want to be sure that it's nothing serious...

All thouse light has very strage behaviour - I had CEL after I put regular gas with codes meaning Time to Replace O2 and No signal from O2, I reset them 2 weeks ago and since then no CEL and no pending codes... Same as with this SRS, have no codes (per CarSoft) but has light on...

I didn't buy it. I decided to go with PA Software and it works for me very well so I have no idea about quality of that unit.

Just for reference, it looks like "PA Software" is "P.A. Software BMW Scanner v1.4.0" located here for $650 USD.

Quackers also confirms that the P.A. Software BMW Scanner resets the airbag light (over here).

BTW, here is an $85 BMW Airbag Scan&Reset Tool
