Mein Auto: 97 e36 convertible
Question e36 fully auto roof fault, advice needed please

hi can anyone help???? ive just bought an 1997 e36 convertible, when i tried to put the roof down the red light on the switch was flashing but nothing happened when i pushed the switch, i dropped the motors out and replaced the fuse, which in turn engaged the roof motor and hatch motor without touching the switch and the motor just keeps going until i remove the fuse, and if i put the motors back in position then replace the fuse the fuse blows, and while the motor is turning or trying to turn there is a clicking noise coming from around the nearside rear seat.
there was a lot of water under the hatch panel because the drain holes were blocked, my initial thought was the water may have somehow leaked out onto the roof module??? or is it something simple like a relay????
any advice or solutions to this problem would be much appreciated, especially as summer is looming upon us it would be nice to be able to put the roof down without having to endure a twenty minute process of faffing about when our great british weather decides to change every five minutes!!! many thanks, ricky
