Remote fob question

You can open it hitting the button but you can't close it via fob? I guess they are worried about hitting some body part from the distance or my fob is not working right. Which is it?

What's the question? Close what, the trunk? In that case, no, you can't close it remotely. Which is too bad.

Hang on, if someone has the convenience package with the motorized trunk, can't you then close it remotely? Most SUV's have remote closing tailgates and they don't seem to be an issue.

It isn't too much of a hassle to push a button on the inside of the trunk to close it mechanically. No big deal... after all, most people open and close their trunks by hand. Still, it would be nice to just push a button in the fob; it would be cool too!

FWIW, can't close the X5 tailgate remotely either.
