Windscreen for 2004 Z4 ??

Did these cars come with a screen that goes behind your head to block the wind? Looks like the headrest should have something to slide out but mine doesnt?

Welcome, Tim. There is not a windscreen that "comes" with the car. However, there are a few options, including one made and/or sold by BMW, for "after market" windscreens. The dealer threw in their windscreen when I bought my used Z4 from them.

Confirmed there are several BMW versions for the Z4. I have the basic mesh one but it does not zip down in the center like the z3 ones. I have a clear lucite one from Windblox for my z3 that I like very much. A very good low cost option you can leave in place all the time.

I just bought one from Roadster Solutions. Haven't installed it yet. Hope to this weekend and will report back.

Made my own using the link - about 40 bucks and a saturday all said and done. But if you dont have the skills/equip for this I think Roadster Solutions has the best unit.

Installed it this weekend. Easy to install. Works great. Would definitely recommend it.

Many are not fan's of the leather slip on, but I liked it because it matched the black leather interior and gave the extension to it. I picked mine up at the dealership for just a little over $100 because it was the last one they had and they wanted it out of inventory for year end so not a bad deal.

You nailed it, for me at least. I am not a fan of the "silver" roll bars on the non-M's (perhaps it's my years in the Z3 with its black roll bars) and so I like the fact that my windscreen's black leather fits over and covers the silver. Even with my Sterling Grey Metallic I prefer the black roll bars. Purely aesthetics, I realize, but it's why I went with the windscreen I've got.

Fair point. I am waiting until I get all my mods done and then I'll post the finished product.

For the record, currently completed or in the works:
1. Wind Jammer from Roadster Solutions-installed
2. Active Autowerkes ECU tune (at AA right now, hope to have it back by Thursday)
3. RPI Ram Air Scoop-installed
4. OZ Ultraleggera 18x8F 18x9R Bright Silver Rims-hope to have by Thursday
5. UUC Short Shifter Kit- hope to have next week (DSSR on back order and will be a month or so)

Getting there!!

P.S.- Just put Style 313 on my 335i with Continental Extreme DW. New sig pic with those wheels soon also.
