Post Z3 M Roadster tail light removal?

2000 M Roadster question: If you take the lens out of the car...that seems to be my problem. I have have removed the plastic receptacle that holds the bulbs and undone both the nuts that seem to hold the lens in place, but the lens just doesnt seem to budge. What am I missing? I can't see anything else that would hold the lens in. I don't think the last owner would have glued it in and have pryed hard enough to break a seal that weather might have formed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve

I think the gasket may be what is still holding it in. Once you have removed the inner cover (where you can get to the bulbs) and then removed the little nuts, the gasket is all that is left.

Tail light removal

Hey, thanks, You were correct! it was the gasket stuck to the body. I took a hair dryer to it and then tapped on the end of the two posts that the nuts tighten the lens down and presto, it cane loose. Thanks for the help. PS, I like your ramps. Pretty innovative! Not unlike something I might use in a pinch! LOL

My ramps have improved. As you can see the old ramps are now used to provide a little extra lift
