Another road course, another good finish for JPM at Watkins Glen. From P25 to 4th. Glad to see he's occasionally doing well.

YEAP im glad too, he did so good. He was coming for the front position but Steward at the restart hold the line to let bush go away. was good. definetly he needs a better team.

Thought this should be bumped in the interests of lingering (and, possibly, new) fans. In case nobody notice, JPM has been doing quite nicely this year and stands at 10th place in the standings (is that what you call it?) Got caught speeding (by .06 and .11 mph) in the pit lane last week which lost him the race, they say. I never knew this (I don't know much at all about NASCAR), but they don't even have speedometers in their cars...they have to judge their speed by tach/gear readings. Anyway, I decided to chart his progress this year, and it looks like this:

I was watching NASCAR Raceday on Speed (the channel, not the drug) and Kenny Wallace made the comment that they don't want to run in the rain on the Watkins Glen road course today because you don't a driver to lose the championship because he's not good on a wet course. He also said that NASCAR is as big as F1. WTF?? The guy is clearly delusional. Is it bigger here in the US? Of course. The rest of the world? Not even close. The announcers will always talk about the NASCAR guys being the "best drivers in the world". If they're that good, shouldn't they be able to run in the rain on a road course?

I'm not trying to start a flame war about which drivers are better. The cars are very different, so it's an apples and oranges comparison. Would Lewis Hamilton do well in a 3400 pound NASCAR COT? Not right away, but JPM has shown in can be done over a number of years. Would Jimmy Johnson do well in an F1 car? Again, not right away.

For the record, I'm not a NASCAR oval racing fan, but I do like watching them run the two road courses.

They've done a great job. He admits that there are times when he has no idea what's wrong with the car. More of a comment on the COT than JPM.

Third place...deserves another Woohoo.

Been away, so I didn't get a chance to give a big shout out for JPM for winning at The Glen. Proves once again that he knows how to turn right, whereas the others...well, you make the call.

Good show for JPM so far this year (6th, 19th and 3rd) with T3 overall. Watch for a stellar year from my man.

I'm happy to see him doing well, essentially sticking it to F1.

I love to see him do both, the Bo of racing... Yes I know its not possible.
