Mein Auto: 1985 635csi 5-spd
Post My first 635csi!!

Hello to all,

Well, after a lifetime of wanting to have one, I got it. A 1985 5-spd csi.

I probably should have posted this before I bought it but just couldn't resist
losing it. My basic question is did I get a good deal? I'd appreciate it very
much if someone could shed some light on my purchase. Here are the facts:

152,000 miles....2 previous owners....Autocheck Score: 71

Bought in Illinois and in '99, moved to Virginia with 1st owner.

Exterior: A few little bubbles of rust, faded paint on both doors, tires
are new, everything works...lights, hood, trunk, etc.

Interior: Looks nice...no cracks on dash or seats, temp gauge wobbles a bit,
inspection light is on but ww fluid light on as well...this correlated?
Everything else works...a/c, heat, trip info. E-brake tight.

Engine looks and feels good. Brakes good. Suspension seems ok.

Pictures included.

Does $6,000 for her seem ok? What do you think? Thank you in advance
for any responses!!!

Mein Auto: **** you
Love the color combo...the paint looks a bit dull and if there is rust like you say then there is more you can't see. You probably overpaid but screw it...it's an awesome car and you will not be disappointed !

Interesting 6er you have there. Is it a 1985 model? It does have the older chrome side mirrors, but it also has the later model world style color matched bumpers installed on the car. The world bumpers are found on '88-'89 models. Really like the interior leather color, what color is it? Also having a non-cracked dash is really great. Make sure you take care of the dash, it is a very important piece for the interiors. Get some 303 aerospace protectant and give it a nice treatment. 5 speed is also very desirable. $6K may be a little too much for a 1985 car, but as long as it makes you happy, who cares.

Rust on the car is not a good thing and it appears that one of the doors was replaced and repainted to match (at least tried to match). Still a nice project car that you will love to work on and pamper like a new baby. We all know how you feel when seeing your dream 6er in front of you. It is very hard to walkaway and not want one.....or two
