Hello Autocrossers:

Just once this year, the San Diego Chapter will present a 2-day Autocross, our 2011 Spring Fling. On April 9-10, we will host a traditional Autocross with timing and trophies on Saturday, and our popular continuous-lap format (4 laps in a row per run) returns on Sunday so you get immediate feedback on your line and build-up some useful heat in your tires. Itís a unique autocross experience and a chance to bring down a second car on the second day so you can exercise ALL of your toys.

Online Registration opens at midnight tonight. Click this link -->BMWCCA - San Diego Chapter MotorSportRegistration

You may register online for one day Saturday or Sunday for $60, or a 2-day package for BMW drivers costs $115. Breakfast items, lunch, and beverages are included both days. Drivers who register for both days and bring a BMW on Saturday may bring a non-BMW on Sunday with no limited number. If you do run the same car both days, we ask that you leave your car numbers on and you wonít have to run it through Tech a second time Sunday. For Saturday we will hold 20 spots for non-BMW entries.

On Sunday, we are simultaneously hosting our annual Tire Rack Street Survival program for teenage drivers, so you may have some impressionable young spectators. Since many of our autocross Instructors will be working with the teens all day Sunday, we recommend that Novice autocrossers come on Saturday due to very limited availability of Instructors on Sunday.

This will be a memorable weekend. Our last two Autocrosses have sold out completely with online registration, so this is your chance to be sure you get a spot.

See you at Qualcomm,

Dan Tackett
