Z3 : Paging ASA AR1 18" roadster owners

I am looking at buying 4 x ASA AR1 18" for my 2001 3.0 roadster : 18x8 in front, 18x9 in front (I currently have BMW type 42 wheels)

Was someone able to fit a 265/35-18 on a 18x9 in the back ? Tirerack is telling me 255s fit but they don't want to make any comment on the 265.

Is the ride on a 35 must worse than a 40 (stock OEM) ?
Did you have to use a spacer ?
How close is the tire to the rear fender lip ?
Did you use the old or new roundel wheel logo ?

Not sure about 18"'s but I have ASA AR1's in 17" and had no problem putting 275's on the rear 17x9's on my '97.
