Unhappy Anyone notice scratches in their Aluminum Hexagonal Trim?

Hi Everyone-
I just noticed that I have at least 4 areas of major scratches or flaws in the Aluminum Hex trim in my 550i. Anyone else notice any problems?
My dealer agreed that it's unacceptable and is replacing 4 trim pieces. They believe the flaws were present from the factory and doesn't think they are superficial. The car has less than 500 miles on it.

First off sorry to hear about your scratches. Secondly, glad to hear that your dealer is stepping up to the plate and making it right. I don't have my 550 yet but seriously considered the aluminum trim on the build. My biggest fear though was it scratching so I stayed with the anthracite wood trim. It's definitely a different look from the aluminum. Of course your case is different in that the scratches were there when you got the car. I looked at all your pictures of your car and really do like the way the trim looks. It will be interesting to see if anyone else has had any problems. Good luck.

Unhappy Flaws/Scratches in Aluminum Hexagonal trim - 550i

Here is a link to photos of the flaws/scratches in the aluminum trim in my 550i. The dealer said they are not superficial scratches and likely came that way when the car was delivered. They are not as noticeable at night, but are quite obvious in direct sunlight. I picked my car up at night and didn't really check or notice.

Any ideas, comments, suggestions?

They are replacing all the trim that is affected and if all else fails, I will switch to Anthracite trim at their expense.

I have both of my front pieces being replaced, mine actually have faded spots on the solid trim.
