Mysterious Oil Leak
2001 Z3 Coupe oil leak at right side back of valve cover. Dose not appear on the ground. Smells every now and then. Have to put oil in every two weeks or so. Had repaired once for $ 600.00 . Anybody have the same problem. Just went over 100,000 miles today and love the auto. Thanks.

I am chasing a mysterious oil leak as well.
I am about to take apart the crankcase vent and clean it out. Apparently the new ones on the M52 TU and M54 are much more troublesome than the ones on the other motors. Oh well. I have been chasing leaks for months. New PS system, new AC system, new VCG. Its starting to wear me out! This stuff is next to be replaced searching for the leak.  I only leak a drop a night, and apparently only when the car has been driven. So its pointing more and more to the CCV stuff.
